Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 47,170 people that identified as Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 0.46% of the total population of North Carolina in 2017. Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (5,563), followed by Wake County (5,507), and Robeson County (2,371). On the other hand, Gates County had the lowest number of Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (9), followed by Clay County (9), and Perquimans County (10).
