Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 194,113 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in New Jersey and they represented 2.18% of the total population of New Jersey in 2019. Hudson County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (27,914), followed by Essex County (27,502), and Passaic County (24,725). On the other hand, Hunterdon County had the lowest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone (497), followed by Sussex County (605), and Warren County (741).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone, Passaic County had the highest percentage (4.93%), followed by Hudson County (4.14%), and Cumberland County (3.61%).
