Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 91,309 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in North Carolina and they represented 0.88% of the total population of North Carolina in 2018. Mecklenburg County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (16,238), followed by Wake County (11,383), and Cumberland County (6,794). On the other hand, Graham County had the lowest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone (6), followed by Swain County (13), and Clay County (18).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone, Cumberland County had the highest percentage (2.03%), followed by Hoke County (1.73%), and Forsyth County (1.72%).
