Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 56,032 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in Ohio and they represented 0.48% of the total population of Ohio in 2023. Cuyahoga County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (12,679), followed by Franklin County (11,405), and Lorain County (4,167). On the other hand, Monroe County had the lowest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone (3), followed by Vinton County (5), and Hocking County (9).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone, Lorain County had the highest percentage (1.31%), followed by Mahoning County (1.16%), and Cuyahoga County (1.03%).
