Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 285,749 people that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone in Texas and they represented 0.94% of the total population of Texas in 2023. Harris County had the highest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone population (64,186), followed by Bexar County (28,275), and Dallas County (27,036). On the other hand, Loving County had the lowest number of Hispanic Black or African American alone (0), followed by King County (0), and Borden County (0).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Hispanic Black or African American alone, Kenedy County had the highest percentage (2.92%), followed by Bailey County (2.53%), and Bell County (2.4%).
