Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 104,173 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in Alaska and they represented 14.42% of the total population of Alaska in 2011. Anchorage Borough had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (22,259), followed by Bethel Borough (14,354), and Nome Borough (7,351). On the other hand, Skagway Borough had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (37), followed by Denali Borough (74), and Yakutat City and Borough (237).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone, Kusilvak Borough had the highest percentage (94.44%), followed by Bethel Borough (82.41%), and Northwest Arctic Borough (80.55%).
