Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 32,139 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in Colorado and they represented 0.63% of the total population of Colorado in 2011. El Paso County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (3,826), followed by Denver County (3,563), and Montezuma County (2,910). On the other hand, San Juan County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (1), followed by Kiowa County (3), and Mineral County (4).
