Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, there were 109,730 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.15% of the total population of North Carolina in 2010. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (51,123), followed by Cumberland County (4,735), and Hoke County (4,298). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (7), followed by Alleghany County (18), and Hyde County (22).
