Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 110,714 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.15% of the total population of North Carolina in 2011. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (51,542), followed by Cumberland County (4,742), and Hoke County (4,308). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (6), followed by Alleghany County (18), and Hyde County (22).
