Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2013, there were 112,341 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.14% of the total population of North Carolina in 2013. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (52,133), followed by Cumberland County (4,712), and Hoke County (4,393). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (7), followed by Alleghany County (18), and Hyde County (20).
