Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, there were 113,617 people that identified as Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone in North Carolina and they represented 1.13% of the total population of North Carolina in 2015. Robeson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (52,429), followed by Cumberland County (4,661), and Hoke County (4,376). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (7), followed by Hyde County (20), and Alleghany County (22).
