Oglala Lakota County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone population (11,742), followed by Pennington County (9,930), and Todd County (7,565). On the other hand, Faulk County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic American Indian and Alaska Native alone (10), followed by Miner County (11), and Jerauld County (16).
