Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 5,622,254 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in California and they represented 14.36% of the total population of California in 2016. Los Angeles County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (1,476,322), followed by Santa Clara County (700,652), and Orange County (640,007). On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone (17), followed by Sierra County (18), and Modoc County (84).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone, Santa Clara County had the highest percentage (36.34%), followed by San Francisco County (34.73%), and Alameda County (29.89%).
