Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 82,039 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in Iowa and they represented 2.60% of the total population of Iowa in 2018. Polk County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (24,229), followed by Johnson County (9,789), and Story County (7,963). On the other hand, Adams County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone (24), followed by Taylor County (25), and Monona County (26).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone, Jefferson County had the highest percentage (11.3%), followed by Buena Vista County (9.91%), and Story County (8.23%).
