Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 221,943 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in North Carolina and they represented 2.30% of the total population of North Carolina in 2011. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (52,270), followed by Mecklenburg County (45,857), and Guilford County (20,370). On the other hand, Hyde County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone (18), followed by Gates County (20), and Clay County (24).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone, Orange County had the highest percentage (7.06%), followed by Wake County (5.63%), and Mecklenburg County (4.86%).
