Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 305,113 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone in North Carolina and they represented 2.97% of the total population of North Carolina in 2017. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone population (77,654), followed by Mecklenburg County (66,604), and Guilford County (26,682). On the other hand, Hyde County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Asian alone (35), followed by Clay County (36), and Gates County (38).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Asian alone, Orange County had the highest percentage (7.89%), followed by Wake County (7.24%), and Mecklenburg County (6.17%).
