Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 256,406 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Arizona and they represented 3.91% of the total population of Arizona in 2012. Maricopa County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (191,829), followed by Pima County (32,660), and Pinal County (15,908). On the other hand, Greenlee County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (108), followed by Santa Cruz County (138), and La Paz County (138).
