Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, there were 345,542 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Arizona and they represented 4.75% of the total population of Arizona in 2021. Maricopa County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (266,029), followed by Pima County (38,522), and Pinal County (23,346). On the other hand, Greenlee County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (143), followed by La Paz County (165), and Santa Cruz County (241).
