Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 466,938 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Arkansas and they represented 15.33% of the total population of Arkansas in 2022. Pulaski County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (152,738), followed by Jefferson County (36,557), and Crittenden County (25,914). On the other hand, Searcy County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (32), followed by Newton County (32), and Montgomery County (43).
