Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, there were 2,211,564 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in California and they represented 5.69% of the total population of California in 2015. Los Angeles County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (820,466), followed by Alameda County (178,648), and San Bernardino County (175,194). On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (5), followed by Sierra County (7), and Trinity County (67).
