Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 229,347 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Colorado and they represented 4.03% of the total population of Colorado in 2018. Arapahoe County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (68,682), followed by Denver County (64,453), and El Paso County (42,856). On the other hand, San Juan County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (1), followed by Jackson County (1), and Mineral County (2).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Arapahoe County had the highest percentage (10.53%), followed by Crowley County (10.42%), and Denver County (9%).
