Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 353,502 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Connecticut and they represented 9.83% of the total population of Connecticut in 2014. Hartford County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (115,164), followed by New Haven County (105,877), and Fairfield County (100,369). On the other hand, Windham County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (2,078), followed by Litchfield County (2,420), and Tolland County (4,785).
