Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 2,979,398 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Georgia and they represented 30.39% of the total population of Georgia in 2011. Fulton County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (416,741), followed by DeKalb County (376,873), and Gwinnett County (195,410). On the other hand, Towns County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (53), followed by Fannin County (90), and Gilmer County (93).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Hancock County had the highest percentage (73.47%), followed by Dougherty County (67.43%), and Clayton County (66.1%).
