Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 3,212,732 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Georgia and they represented 31.17% of the total population of Georgia in 2016. Fulton County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (447,257), followed by DeKalb County (403,056), and Gwinnett County (240,428). On the other hand, Towns County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (106), followed by Gilmer County (144), and Union County (146).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Hancock County had the highest percentage (71.67%), followed by Dougherty County (69.31%), and Clayton County (68.93%).
