Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 3,264,726 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Georgia and they represented 31.34% of the total population of Georgia in 2017. Fulton County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (453,865), followed by DeKalb County (404,985), and Gwinnett County (248,594). On the other hand, Towns County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (120), followed by Fannin County (172), and Union County (175).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Hancock County had the highest percentage (71.14%), followed by Clayton County (69.6%), and Dougherty County (69.48%).
