Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2014, there were 609,405 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Indiana and they represented 9.24% of the total population of Indiana in 2014. Marion County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (255,876), followed by Lake County (119,191), and Allen County (42,663). On the other hand, Warren County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (12), followed by Ohio County (18), and Martin County (20).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Marion County had the highest percentage (27.33%), followed by Lake County (24.26%), and St. Joseph County (12.69%).
