Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 344,380 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 7.85% of the total population of Kentucky in 2012. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (157,108), followed by Fayette County (44,507), and Christian County (15,402).
