Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 367,649 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Kentucky and they represented 8.22% of the total population of Kentucky in 2019. Jefferson County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (168,268), followed by Fayette County (49,151), and Christian County (15,177). On the other hand, Robertson County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (21), followed by Wolfe County (22), and Owsley County (22).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Fulton County had the highest percentage (23.66%), followed by Jefferson County (21.92%), and Christian County (21.2%).
