Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 1,506,460 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Louisiana and they represented 32.30% of the total population of Louisiana in 2018. Orleans Parish had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (231,740), followed by East Baton Rouge Parish (205,713), and Caddo Parish (120,292). On the other hand, Cameron Parish had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (278), followed by Caldwell Parish (1,567), and West Carroll Parish (1,709).
