Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 341,119 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Minnesota and they represented 6.17% of the total population of Minnesota in 2016. Hennepin County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (160,738), followed by Ramsey County (63,676), and Dakota County (25,329). On the other hand, Lincoln County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (14), followed by Traverse County (17), and Lake of the Woods County (17).
