Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 371,896 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Minnesota and they represented 6.63% of the total population of Minnesota in 2018. Hennepin County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (169,348), followed by Ramsey County (67,393), and Dakota County (29,104).
