Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 386,019 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Minnesota and they represented 6.84% of the total population of Minnesota in 2019. Hennepin County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (172,340), followed by Ramsey County (68,566), and Dakota County (31,187). On the other hand, Lincoln County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (13), followed by Red Lake County (22), and Mahnomen County (22).
