Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, there were 704,676 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Missouri and they represented 11.60% of the total population of Missouri in 2015. St. Louis County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (239,660), followed by Jackson County (161,312), and St. Louis city (149,522). On the other hand, Scotland County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (4), followed by Schuyler County (5), and Mercer County (6).
