Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 14,645 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in New Hampshire and they represented 1.11% of the total population of New Hampshire in 2011. Hillsborough County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (7,951), followed by Rockingham County (1,880), and Merrimack County (1,644). On the other hand, Coos County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (147), followed by Carroll County (153), and Sullivan County (183).
