Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2022, there were 22,411 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in New Hampshire and they represented 1.60% of the total population of New Hampshire in 2022. Hillsborough County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (11,924), followed by Merrimack County (2,774), and Rockingham County (2,769).
