Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 22,833 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in New Hampshire and they represented 1.63% of the total population of New Hampshire in 2023. Hillsborough County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (12,022), followed by Rockingham County (2,879), and Merrimack County (2,828).
