Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2015, there were 2,855,692 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in New York and they represented 14.53% of the total population of New York in 2015. Kings County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (796,338), followed by Bronx County (428,012), and Queens County (415,637). On the other hand, Hamilton County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (37), followed by Schuyler County (144), and Lewis County (196).
