Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2019, there were 2,804,140 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in New York and they represented 14.41% of the total population of New York in 2019. Kings County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (756,324), followed by Bronx County (414,791), and Queens County (402,352). On the other hand, Hamilton County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (45), followed by Lewis County (150), and Schuyler County (174).
