Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2010, there were 1,396,040 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Ohio and they represented 12.10% of the total population of Ohio in 2010. Cuyahoga County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (375,773), followed by Franklin County (246,568), and Hamilton County (205,610). On the other hand, Vinton County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (35), followed by Wyandot County (42), and Monroe County (61).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Cuyahoga County had the highest percentage (29.4%), followed by Hamilton County (25.63%), and Franklin County (21.14%).
