Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2021, there were 1,509,310 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Ohio and they represented 12.83% of the total population of Ohio in 2021. Cuyahoga County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (370,178), followed by Franklin County (312,250), and Hamilton County (216,273). On the other hand, Vinton County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (69), followed by Wyandot County (96), and Monroe County (102).
