Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2012, there were 1,353,249 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Pennsylvania and they represented 10.60% of the total population of Pennsylvania in 2012. Philadelphia County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (652,484), followed by Allegheny County (161,580), and Delaware County (112,253). On the other hand, Cameron County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (18), followed by Potter County (66), and Elk County (106).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Philadelphia County had the highest percentage (42.04%), followed by Delaware County (20.01%), and Forest County (18.57%).
