Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2017, there were 1,380,507 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Pennsylvania and they represented 10.79% of the total population of Pennsylvania in 2017. Philadelphia County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (648,395), followed by Allegheny County (160,505), and Delaware County (120,229). On the other hand, Cameron County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (33), followed by Potter County (80), and Elk County (124).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Philadelphia County had the highest percentage (40.99%), followed by Delaware County (21.32%), and Forest County (20.29%).
