Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 240,003 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Washington and they represented 3.52% of the total population of Washington in 2011. King County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (121,547), followed by Pierce County (53,060), and Snohomish County (18,297). On the other hand, Garfield County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (1), followed by Wahkiakum County (8), and Columbia County (15).
