Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 329,492 people that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone in Washington and they represented 4.22% of the total population of Washington in 2023. King County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone population (158,553), followed by Pierce County (69,599), and Snohomish County (33,504). On the other hand, Garfield County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone (5), followed by Wahkiakum County (26), and Columbia County (36).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic Black or African American alone, Pierce County had the highest percentage (7.49%), followed by King County (6.98%), and Snohomish County (3.97%).
