Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2011, there were 14,980,539 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in California and they represented 39.80% of the total population of California in 2011. Los Angeles County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (2,730,170), followed by San Diego County (1,509,545), and Orange County (1,331,865). On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (785), followed by Sierra County (2,715), and Modoc County (7,499).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Sierra County had the highest percentage (87.58%), followed by Nevada County (86.54%), and Plumas County (84.89%).
