Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 14,777,771 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in California and they represented 37.75% of the total population of California in 2016. Los Angeles County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (2,683,945), followed by San Diego County (1,521,648), and Orange County (1,303,162). On the other hand, Alpine County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (713), followed by Sierra County (2,498), and Modoc County (6,947).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Nevada County had the highest percentage (85.58%), followed by Sierra County (84.51%), and Plumas County (83.67%).
