Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 1,245,448 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in Maine and they represented 93.48% of the total population of Maine in 2016. Cumberland County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (264,073), followed by York County (191,453), and Penobscot County (142,259). On the other hand, Piscataquis County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (16,125), followed by Washington County (28,396), and Franklin County (28,799).
