Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2016, there were 6,459,944 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 63.57% of the total population of North Carolina in 2016. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (636,058), followed by Mecklenburg County (503,042), and Guilford County (268,452). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,066), followed by Hyde County (3,295), and Washington County (5,441).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (94.11%), followed by Clay County (93.79%), and Haywood County (92.84%).
