Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2018, there were 6,535,149 people that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone in North Carolina and they represented 62.89% of the total population of North Carolina in 2018. Wake County had the highest number of Non-Hispanic White alone population (654,222), followed by Mecklenburg County (509,446), and Guilford County (266,063). On the other hand, Tyrrell County had the lowest number of Non-Hispanic White alone (2,040), followed by Hyde County (3,059), and Washington County (5,251).

When it comes to the percentage of each county's population that identified as Non-Hispanic White alone, Madison County had the highest percentage (94%), followed by Clay County (92.91%), and Haywood County (92.41%).
