Based on the US Census Vintage data estimates, in 2023, there were 331,743 hispanics or latinos (of all racial backgrounds) in Louisiana and they represented 7.25% of the total population of Louisiana in 2023.

Jefferson Parish had the highest number of hispanics or latinos (79,805), followed by East Baton Rouge Parish (30,281), and Orleans Parish (29,563). On the other hand, Tensas Parish had the lowest number of hispanics or latinos (95), followed by East Carroll Parish (160), and Cameron Parish (197).

When it comes to the ratio of hispanic to non-hispanic population, Jefferson Parish had the highest percentage (18.92%), followed by St. Bernard Parish (13.96%), and Plaquemines Parish (10.05%).
